A must-read recommendation for all shoujo fans who favor a sweet school life love story.

Ninako is a vibrant and innocent high school girl who has never had a love experience before yet to know what it is. As she keeps receiving the heartthrob and colorful range of emotion from getting to know the popular and quiet Ren.

The summary seems to be stereotype shoujos written before; nevertheless, it didn’t disappoint me at all in many aspects. The main couples aren’t annoying or nosy from the first impression and then develop feelings afterward like many other mangas; instead, they are kind and gentle people who are attracted to each other because of the similar harmony in their perception and personalities.

Secondly, the love situation is a little bit different. Ninako was having the one-sided love since Ren involved in a long term relationship, and so you can sometimes have a heart squeeze as empathizing with the female character’s feeling. But don’t you worry, there’s nothing like cheating or forced breakup and the story line develops in a natural way.

The ending is satisfying and sweet, it portrays almost perfectly high school love, nothing too extreme and depressing.

P/s: Somehow I like this story line over Ao Haru Ride (Blue Spring Ride) of the same author even though it’s not as popular.
